My family typically does the traditional turkey for Thanks Giving but come Christmas it’s Feliz Navidad time with taco bar, enchiladas, tortilla soup and all the appropriate trimmings. Turkey twice a season is just too boring and not everyone in my family likes ham.
My Anglo family has come to love and anticipate Christmas Eve Tamales thanks to a Latina sister-in-law. You miss so much in life if you don’t try to embrace different cultures.
