It’s a never-ending task, though not necessarily Sisyphean. There’s always a tiny reward at the end of every summer when I find birds’ nests lined with my golden retriever’s fur, and I think of all the little fledglings kept warm by my labors. (Plus, there’s the rather-brush-it-than-vacuum-it thing.)
Now onto how much a lab sheds. Twice a year for about 2-3 weeks he sheds a new dog every 10 minutes. The rest of the time he sheds a new dog about once a week. Get it clear. Labs shed a lot. Maybe not the most , but an awful lot.

He should consider himself lucky that he doesn’t have a northern breed dog like a Husky or a Malamute, if he thinks Labs shed a lot.

Good morning Crew!

With my beagle, the fur you got brushing wasn’t the color of the dog’s fur. A black and white and brown dog would produce a uniformly tan wad of fur.

Brushing can seem unending with some breeds of dogs or cats. Good evening, Crew!
