    For several seasons as a youth coach, I used to log when a player when into a game and when they came out so I could show that any parents that the player played at least half a game.

    My brother in law coached girls hs ball. A parent followed him into the locker room demanding trophy her little darling didn’t get more play time. “Because she sucks at bball.” ( he’s a Marine)

    I’ve seen coaches quit because of overly pushy parents and I’ve seen players devastated by ego driven coaches. The game should be for the kids. That is especially so at the recreational levels.
