True. A good part of my lawn is clover and not grass. I leave it. Itâs softer to walk on, is low maintenance (itâs growing naturally) and the bees love it.
Those !@#%&1 things are really the only thing in the natural world that make me use every word my dear olâ daddy taught me. Redid the yard a couple of years ago with all native Florida plant/groundcover, and the damn weeds STILL get through. I mean, their stems are thick as my middle finger. . .On a more serene note, read the book âWeedsâ by Richard Mabey. . .interesting and informative, but it didnât change my mind about weeds. . .

If you planted corn a rose is a weed and if you ever had to deal with a wild rose bush you know how nasty they can be.
