And I’d probably kill them just to keep my worst days…or at least my life….

I’ve had a few close calls in my life but I never had to worry about lack of food or where to sleep.

I always remind my husband of same. Everytime I see a commercial of a child fighting cancer, or tornado devastation, etc., my problems seem very small.

I highly recommend reading a book called “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl. The book is 250 pages long. Half of it is about Frankl’s experience in the Auschwitz concentration camp. Read that part at least. Then you may want to read on to the second half in which he describes Logotherapy.

In spite of his being a psychiatrist – the book is very easy to read.

I have had the honor of being a “Student POW” in survival school. It’s the 30,000 ft view of the real thing, but it gave me enough wit to understand the men who did it for real.

My wife is a nurse who works with State Department refugees. Their stories are not bedtime reading for children although some of the stories involve children.

Finally, my wife and I know several “undocumented” or, if you prefer “illegal,” immigrants. Their stories aren’t much better such as the woman who had her son’s dismembered body left on her doorstep because he would not join the local gang. Yet we are told that these people are coming here to steal our jobs, take away our rights and commit crimes. Somehow this woman doesn’t fit that profile.

Have a nice day! As bad as it might be, it’s not as bad as you may probably think.

Life is never so bad that it can’t get any worse.

Just because things could be worse doesn’t make them good. I’m tired of people being dismissive of others’ problems just because they’re not the worst imaginable.

(That said, I’m also tired of people who whine over the stupidest crap, like the office no longer providing flavored creamer for coffee. And yes, people are seriously complaining about that at my office.)

Would the “Message” really be any different if the “Medium” were LOVE! instead of Kill?

Well, they can’t have my worst days. I need them so I know things will get better.

when I was in the military and there were people actively trying to kill me I cannot imagine anyone wanting to change places.

Very good message today. When things look bad for me, I have to remember that it’s a matter of perspective.
