I think he was referring to the pain of a tattoo vs the pain of circumcision. I’d be more worried for the life expectancy of the husband when he shows up at home with his freshly tattooed baby.

People who get Ink rarely think long term. One of the ladies at work had something on her lower back (don’t go there!!), and one of the guys asked her what is was? She said “It’s my Prancing Pony.” The fool replied, “It may have started as a Pony, but its a Clydesdale now.” The last we saw of him he was running through the parking lot with a Pony in hot pursuit.

It’s no worse than getting a young child’s ears pierced. Any alterations need to be held off until the child can consent.
