    I remember as a fourth grader in the 1950’s that our teacher was telling us about parallel and series circuits and how the OLD style Christmas lights were series circuits.

    In the first strip I saw this gag it was funny. In the second strip I saw this gag it was cute. In the 3rd, 4th, etc., strip it’s become really annoying. Bah Humbug!

    Yes they are rotating like tops to stay upright, and their lights go on simultaneously as they are facing you, sort of like gyroscope under a strobe light.
