For those who aren’t too familiar, this strip came out about the same time “rumble” packs were becoming popular in game controllers. They make the controller vibrate in your hands at appropriate times, like when you get hit by something, and it helps make the game a little more immersive. They’re pretty much built in to most systems nowadays, but back then, they were a new idea that surprised a lot of people.
Wow Roger, you are kind of a wimp, when I was a kid if my dad said he wanted the TV (and all 4 channels we had back then) we just scattered like roaches till he told one of us to go over and manually change the channel or adjust the rabbit ears.
I honestly can’t figure out how he confused those 2 things, this is clearly an N-64 analogue, a rumble pack and a memory card for that system look nothing alike.
Another “peripheral” for video games, shooters in this case, that was developed was a vest that you put on that physically hurts you if your character in the game gets shot. It didn’t catch on for some strange reason…

Just pick the kid up and remove him. Sit down and watch YOUR TV.

I could fix that problem for you. Unplug the game console and turn on the football game. If Jason give you any lip, let him take it to his room. Done.

Sad to see kids controlling the parents, but apparently that is the “in” thing now. Sad.

This story is way too annoying to be a fraction funny! Wouldn’t even be a @#!$ discussion if my dad wanted to watch TV back in the day!

“Rambo” pack??? Seriously?
Nintendo doesn’t own the word “rumble”!
