In 1500 years she still hasn’t learned how to read.

Shortly after moving to Portland, OR, I was looking for Powell’s (largest used book store in the world) and got lost. Fortunately, I spotted a guy with an armload of books. He knew the way.

Reading upside down makes you dumber than a five pound sack of stupid.

Reading anything upside down is a feat.. reading War and Peace upside down really sets you aside of the common folk… well played Broomie

She’s too excited to notice, let alone why. I recommend the suggestion. Of course she does now have the other guy’s attention. Perhaps HE shall suggest.

“DORIS?” says a character in Philip Roth’s Goodbye, Columbus. “She’s the one who’s always reading War and Peace. That’s how I know it’s summer, when Doris is reading War and Peace.”

I have a suggestion, too. Little women should read “Little Women”.
