You mean, they are used to working with indentured servants and even if you pay them, they will never be millionaires…..like the coaches.

Ever notice that in the term “student athletes” the noun is “athletes” and the adjective is “student”?

It isn’t that college coaches don’t want to go to the NFL, as much as the NFL owners don’t want them! The owners want people already in the system who will tow the NFL line and kowtow to tradition rather than institute innovation.

The NFL owners also don’t want to pay the coaches the big bucks and long term contracts they get in college football.

I have no problem with paying a student athlete some spending money, like $200 a month…

My argument about paying student-athletes isn’t about giving them a salary – after all, they’re on scholarships and receive free room and board – but not cutting them in on a share of the outrageous profits the universities and colleges make on endorsements and capitalizing on the player’s fame. The athletes deserve a share of this revenue, since they are the ones generating it!

That’s it, perpetrate the false argument that athletes are being paid to play. They are not. They are going to be paid when the various entities use their respective images as ads. That is as it should be, and as Mr. Hinds probably knows.
