I just got home from the vet. A couple days before Christmas, I found a lump on Dolly’s head, next to her ear. In fact, it was 2 lumps – sort of a lump on a lump. I had a very bad feeling about those hard lumps, especially because Dolly seems to always be hungry, yet she’s been losing weight even though I’ve been feeding her extra canned cat food (she eats dry, but doesn’t have many teeth, so I’m giving her lots of canned food). The vet found a few more lumps on Dolly’s neck which I had not discovered yet. She took fluid from Dolly’s lumps and looked at it under the microscope. She confirmed my worst suspicions. Dolly has cancer. It looks pretty bad. They are sending the panels to a pathologist to see what type of cancer it is and how long I can expect her to live. I won’t get those results for a week or so (could be 10 days). I don’t expect a good report.
Here is my Dolly from a 2017 picture. I guess I better start taking more pictures of her while I still can. I may not have her much longer.
It’s possible that Annie might be more willing to help Chesney if he said please. Even so, really, Chesney? It’s not like that glass is miles and miles away. (Although maybe it seems that way to him.) On another note, saw a varied thrush and a golden crowned kinglet while out walking today.
