A glimmer of hope! So time doesn’t pass at the same rate between realities, as I’d hoped. (I was thinking “Chronicles of Narnia” in which time on Narnia didn’t pass at the same rate as on Earth.)
Wally, being the intelligent engineer that he is, will want to know more about this “inter-reality physics”. She (we still don’t know her name yet) can explain as much as they have time for at the moment. Now that the fight is broken up, that shiner on Alan’s eye can now fade away and they can get back to the task of saving Wally’s loved ones and presumably the rest of Eden Colony.
Does Alan have anyone in the colony he cares about? No mention has been made of his family there, if he even has one.
So if a zero weapon effectively removes all moisture (turning things to a pile of dry powder), what would happen if one was used on water, and how big would it have to be to dessicate the ocean? Just wonderin’ ;-)
A “topsider” who knows Marx… the backstory for this is going to be interesting. (The quotes are because we don’t know if she is one of the topsiders bent on getting rid of mutants.
And just where did Duffy get to? Is he going to show up with his knife? Enquiring minds want to know, and expect to find out relatively soon…
Geez, the fourth frame describes Relativity and Quantum Physics since the start of the 20th century. The century started with particle Physics being a finished field of study, now about the only limits we can find are somewhere just beyond comprehension and sanity.
You know this could be Erin Marx. Last seen on a horse (Which was wearing goggles like Ravenscroft) leading a charge into a sea of red. She would know Aaron Marx……even called Wally the same name…..”Cat” which Wally is but only Marx called him that all the time…….in Cardoodles Wally is Cracked Cat. Remember Aaron Marx stated he is as infinite as there are infinite realities but there may be differences between each Marx.
First of all, I’m having a difficult time believing that she is from the same universe as Wally and Company, because a few strips ago she was cursing Cardoodles. Though I will grant that she do to call them Cardoodles as opposed to just comic characters. Second, while she has clearly been bouncing around between universes some, it’s not at all clear to me that she can actually know how fast time is passing in one that she’s just left
The last panel has raised some questions in my mind. First, did Wally’s dittos travel with them? Is this actually a topsider?
The last question is based on the supposition that each reality is distorted copy of the true reality (as in the “Amber” stories by Zelazny). If this is the case the “topsider” may be a traveler between alternate realities wearing a biosuit to protect him from the environment of each alternate reality and the zero gun is the original model duplicated in each alternate reality.
After all, there is the mystery of how and why a topsider is traveling between realities.

Also, “our”?

Good point; the previous strip made it sound like she was an outsider to Wally’s universe, but here she says “our”..And Wally’s madder than a wet cat!

Juste one question: where did she pull that gun from?
Baslim the Beggar Premium Member almost 5 years ago
^ : > She pulled it from one of the pouches at her belt.
You can see her pouches here:

Standard gear for topsiders. (But not her multiverse positioning system device — we hope…
