Hey! There is a possible lucrative litigation avenue. Actually suing the companies who continue to call us once we have our names on the Government âdo not callâ list. Perhaps an army of retired lawyers could work on it. Ironically, they will probably call people to get them to join the lawsuit.
I remember a series of parody commercials on the radio about 25 years ago, for the Dunlop family of lawyers. (Ron, John, Don, and Lon Dunlop were all featured.) Every commercial was about a ridiculous reason to sue, and one of them offered to sue himself for annoying the listener with his commercials.
Canât escape commercials by channel changing. They synchronize them. Only solution is DVR the program and flashing through the ads while watching later.
I think if commercials were more reasonable in time and frequency, that wouldnât be necessary. But as it is now, we get 40 minutes (maybe) of programming for each hour.
