    I remember distinctly giving my dad directions from a map while he was driving in unfamiliar territory. This was back before we had route 79 going between Pittsburgh and Erie,PA!

    Maps are much better for planning and unlike a GPS or online maps, they knew the difference between a highway and a logging road!
