Yes, everything he’d ever want to say to her is in there, but so is everything he would not want to say. I’m not sure I’d leave it up to her to decide which is which. When he says the stuff he wants to there is no room for error.

As Hawkeye once observed on M*A*S*H, when asked about his taste in books, “The dictionary. I figure it’s got all the other books in it. I like to read the dictionary.”

Samuel Langhorne Mark Twain Clemons had an edition of that book with every work of a preacher’s long winded sermon in it.

I think if he had used “diary” instead of “journal” it would have been funnier, because “dictionary” has all the letters of “diary”
