That’s why I prefer a tablet instead of a TV for bedroom viewing – when I fall asleep, it falls on my face, notifying me it’s time to turn it off.
No TV in the bedroom. No TV in the living room, either. The bedroom is for sleep and sex, not necessarily but quite possibly in that order. The living room is for conversation, reading, music, entertaining friends, etc. The TV gets its own space, as remote from the rest of the house as possible.
Thankfully, my husband falls asleep in the living room with the tv on, but if I turn it off, it wakes him up and he says " I was just resting my eyes".
I had a small TV in the bedroom. 32". Watched it mostly at bedtime and during NFL season so the wife could use the bigger one downstairs. Bought an RV and put the 32" in it and got my hands on a 42" and installed it. same thing, 30 minutes before lights out and NFL season. BBT at 10 pm puts me to sleep but I’ve never dozed off with the TV on. NEVER used a timer.
I didn’t understand this strip till I read comments. Didn’t even know you could set a timer to turn off the tv. I always use the tv to wake me back up if I doze off!
Some sleep specialists have advocated against tv’s in the bedroom, saying that room should be used for 2 reasons… sleep, and sex. I wonder if I can get a good deal on a large screen tv…?

My TV just plays all night & Auto tunes to the news at 7AM. Pillow speaker was my best investment, according to my spouse unit.

When we bought our big-screen TV I hooked the small one up in the bedroom. After two months it hadn’t been turned on so I sold it.

Sleep may be the reason we put a TV in our bedroom. My wife always falls asleep while watching movie, but has trouble sleeping at night.
