Wally needs a doggie door.
Wally needs a coat.
Sure, the south side will be a whole lot warmer…if it opens up to south Florida.
Wally is like Norm.
I used to pick my dog up and toss him out rather than sit there with the door open. I’ve also taught my cats that the door closes on the count of three and they no longer sit and stare at the open doorway.
Sounds like Heinlein’s wonderful novel, The Door into Summer.
That is the reason why cats demanded we give them indoor toilets.
Avoidance/avoidance - the psychological bane of rapid decision making
The Door Into Summer, good read.
Get that dog a pee pad!
These back doors might be different than the front!

I had two cats who’d do that, and PLEAD with me at their second door of choice, as if I could make it stop raining.
Doggie logic?
Cats here see it raining out back, and demand to try the front door.
OMG,this reminds me of our dog when I was growing up, Duke. He hated the rain.
When it was raining and Duke had to go, we’d open the back door. He’d look, then walk to the door in the laundry room.
We open the door, he’d look, then the walk to the front door.
We open the door, he’d look out. Then he would look at us like it was our fault it was raining outside all 3 doors!
