My Aunt Lillian and Uncle Melvin had a dog named Rusty. May have been a Border Collie or BC mix, not sure. Being brother and sister, they didn’t have any kids around the farm full time, so he’d always run away from us. He slept in a drainage tube lined with straw in the corner between the two wings of the house.
I remember Angelini telling a story about a dog from an old storyline, but I don’t remember if the dog’s name was Rusty. If so, this will be a really late callback.
