They are not attentive to their teacher. As a teacher They’d have my attention and I’d ask what they’re gossiping about. Other kids will chime in and tell. I’d ask who Tracey is and whether I have her in my class. Tee hee. Might stop them from talking. More likely not so I’d move them to different desks in different parts of the room.
I dunno… They’ve known each other since kindergarten, they used to play together, their parents visit each other, and she’s nice, too. Almost as if they were created to be together. Sounds like marriage material.
My best friend growing up was a boy, Patrick. So I can relate to how he is feeling. Friends only for me and Patrick, never thought of dating. Plus I moved away at 9 years old too and when I visited it just wasn’t the same anymore.
The kindergarten part is a continuity error. Long time fans know that when Gordon first appeared he was a new kid in Grade 3 at the same time Michael and Lawrence were in Grade 2. Tracey Wells could only have known Gordon since kindergarten if she moved the same way Gordon did.
SPOILER this next part:
Gordon’s parents will eventually be portrayed as alcoholic, low class parents who beat Gordon. However, at this point in the comic strip, Gordon’s parents are well-to-do and their main flaw is being too permissive with their son compared to Elly Patterson with Michael.

She want Mr Bean? Well, I suppose someone has to. I mean it is likely there will have to be a Mrs Bean someday.

As long as he doesn’t suffer the same fate as most characters played Sean Bean he’s safe.

Another good point.

Here I thought everybody was talking about Rowan Atkinson. Do not know Sean Bean as well except for a nice Yorkshire accent.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that name was actually a play on Dean Martin, rather than Orson Bean.
