We have a hive out back. Bees are cool. And the honey is especially good because there is a field of lavender within their flight radius. I knew of a lady who lived in a neighbourhood in Oakland, CA who put a hive up on her flat roof and within 2 years the flowers and trees showed the benefits of her bees.

Honey bees are far from evil. Though the African versions are pretty close. In fact, we depend on them for a HUGE proportion of all the food we eat.
