At around Calvin’s age, my idea of a somersault was to stand on my head and then crash over. I never realised I was standing on my head with no support. When I was taught in school how to do a “real” somersault, I could no longer stand on my head without being near a wall. So much for PE class.

That’s pretty much the way it is with most things, Calvin. The rest are real downers.

First time I did that, I was dizzy with elation. Or at least one of those.

I tried standing on my head when was a kid. It hurt. I stopped. Lesson learned.

Stay right there in that position for a couple of weeks, Calvin. Believe me, you’ll have your reward THEN!

Turns out that Calvin is the anti-motivational poster child.

I used to spend SO much of my time as a young girl upside down on my head or hanging by my legs on the jungle gym… Good TIMES!

Well, you don’t experience till you do it. One of few asanas in yoga, full of benefits for body and soul.

“Rewarding” depends on how much change falls out of your pocket.

Work your way up to hand stands, then hand springs. The hand springs are were the reward is thanks to the amount of force involved.

Nice to see that gravity works there. Yoga. Gomez Addams was a practitioner of it.

The experience will be more rewarding when you learn to stack greasy BBs in that position, Calvin. :-)
