This is brought on by people who want to not pay a cashier a fair wage. I’d refuse to do business with them should they refuse to accede to the law that says legal tender is good for all debts, public and private.
Seems like we’re coming towards the era of Batman Beyond (1999-2001). In that era (like we’re in now) the people kept mentioning “creds” (“credits” for short) instead of money.
