National Lash Day. They’re talking about eyelashes. I thin this is a silly “holiday”
National Vet Girls Rise Day. To me, this is a very clumsy=sounding name for what it stands for. I had to look it up because the name of the holiday is (in my opinion) stupid). Here is part of what it said.
“On February 19, National Vet Girls RISE Day recognizes the immense dedication of the nearly 2 million U.S. veteran women.
On National Vet Girls RISE Day, not only is it a day to recognize women veterans, but it’s a day for women veterans to support one another and to share resources, build relationships and spread awareness concerning the needs of women veterans"
So why do they call it “vet girls”? They’re WOMEN vets, not girls! They really could have named this much better than this.
Patches is leaving us today. Melody sent me a text yesterday and said he can no longer breathe and is in pain. She tried to hold out as long as she could but it’s time. I went to the vet who will do housecalls and paid for her to go see Patches. I feel so bad for Melody – on top of losing Patches, she lost her job a couple of weeks ago. She loves that cat so much; she made steps so he could get up onto her bed. She made steps so he could get into his litter box. She’s done so much to make him comfortable for as long as she could.

9. For some odd reason, this cat thinks he is still a kitten and decided to nurse with the other kittens. If he plays it cool, she will never notice a difference.

10. This cat thinks his door is just a window, so he likes to stare at his owners through it till they let him in.

12. That’s another fine mess this kitty has gotten himself in.
Ben got adopted yesterday by an older lady who just wanted a quiet cat to keep her company. She lives up north of here someplace in a town I never heard. (but then again, I don’t know where most places in UT are. I don’t like the state enough to learn about it)
My, Chesney is quite a drama queen. Thankfully, Annie handles it well. On another note, saw some varied thrushes while out walking today. I also heard a crow.
