I can list 25 business regs that do not do what they are purported to do, but they do hamper businesses. The end result is to either add cost to that business or to artificially constrain opportunity, or both, without any of the intended benefit that the reg was supposed to provide. While some regs are necessary and effective, many are redundant, poorly written and unnecessarily expensive, or simply overkill.

Some regs specifically benefit the large – a lot encumber medium to small – similar to political influence. Those who have the money have the edge
