That was my point from two days ago when CB mentioned former baseball comissioner Landis and I commented, “Funny you should mention him.”

I have to say, I never saw this coming.

Somehow I “bet” Snoopy is involved.

Well Chuck, it’s like what Father Mulcahy said to Klinger in a M*A*S*H episode: “When the money is evenly split on two heavy favorites, bet on the long shot.”

Would it be possible that the manager is betting against his own team here?

Hmm – If I didn’t see the original date of 1973 in the comic, I would not have believed Schultz would have gone down this path. But it is Charlie Brown in the later comics – almost nothing good ever happens to Charlie Brown in the later comics.
