carnivorous mutant squirrels. note the missing dogs/cats. they probably havent been hitting the feeder after all….heh heh.
bad for the chinese fast-food business, though.
The reason we had to give up feeding birds several years ago. Although I live in a wooded area, the number of squirrels around the house has greatly diminished. Hope to even have lilacs this year, as the fresh buds have been eaten for years.
Squirrels and raccoons are not the problem here. Solved that problem with the relocation of the feeder. We have deer over population problems. When we first moved here it was: oh see Bamby in the front yard. Now after many killed shrubs, it”s: those @#$#@$#$ deer are at the shrubs again!!!! The bear problems only happen when the humming bird feeders are out. They like to guzzle the sugar water!! We are not up to tangling with a bear on a sugar high!!! Just refill in the mornings so the birds can drink in the day.

They look more like beavers than squirrels.

I think the feeder is actually working. I don’t see how the squirrels can possibly get up there now.

Lucky people. Around here, it takes 2 or 3 of those things to make a decent meal.
(Nope, I’m not kidding. Chicken-fried squirrel is darned good.)

We had squirrel as kids. Dad delivered with his 22 single-shot and Mom cooked them in a pressure cooker. It was fine eating.
Now our main problem is all those pesky birds stealing food from our squirrel feeder.

I would think having a bear problem would cut down on the deer problem. Just thinking.

The name of the one under the window is Rocky. Don’t expect him to do any flying soon. Unless he gets into Lil’s squirrelapult.
