Science gives us the ability to create screens of distraction. Engineering creates plans for them and manufacturing reifies those plans. I think we need to leave Science to what it does. Engineers and manufacturers do respond to market forces, so it’s up to us to creating forces that work for all of us.
Another ignorant use of the word, “science”. I’d expect Mallett to be better than that. I’d expect Frazz to correct that rather to expand the idea.
Some research has indicated that there is an “ideal amount of sleep “ for all people … and most of us do t get enough. That has led people to visit Speep Clinics and judge those who don’t measure up. Some research has led to technology that can entertain us after dark … did I mention that there was money to be made as well as fun to be had?
Science is just a method of learning that can lead to a new level of understanding.
“Science” doesn’t “say” anything. It’s a discipline, not an entity. And it doesn’t talk about what “we” do. “We aren’t getting enough sleep” is TV-speak, not science.
Frazz6 hrs · Bonus shelter-in-place feature:Elaine Howley, a phenomenal open water swimmer and one of my best friends, is also a gifted artist. A while back, she did a year-long series of drawing an animal a day. She presented me with a macaroni penguin because its yellow brow feathers are reminiscent of Frazz’s hair.
Readers, I present to you not just any penguin, but the Frazz macaroni penguin, touring not just any zoo, but the zoo just a mile from the Frazz Factory. Enjoy:

Science, like any other tool, is intrinsically neither good nor bad, it is how you use you tools that determines how they are to be judged.

It is good to see Frazz cleaning up, but I fear that soon he will be very lonely at the school.
