Are these sound effects inspired by Don Martin? Love ‘em! takes me back to the good ol’ day of reading Fester & Karbunkle.

Time to get the stone wheel with the chiseled block treads and go one-wheelin’ in the mud! Yee-haw!

That water has to be cold. Snow melt is not really fun to swim in. Makes it hard to breathe. You try to do a hand walk across the top of the water.

For some reason, spring mud is more acceptable than summer mud. I think it is the novelty of soft dirt vs frozen dirt. After the novelty wears off, it is just dirty dirt. Rejoice in the soft clean dirt for now.

And stay out of dry arroyos, especially if anyone asks, “What’s that sound!?”

Ants usually have a water trap to keep water out of their colonies…

Normal ants make places for the water to go. But these humants are different.

One time when I was a kid, we were on a car trip, stretching our legs outside a country store in Pennsylvania, and I went to step up onto a little dirt slope at the edge of the parking lot, and my entire sneaker went into it… turns out it was mud, not dirt.
