[long] A Georgia boy marries a New York gal and brings her home. His family says that the town folk are upset he married a damn Yankee. He decides to make her life easy by doing all the errands. Every time he goes to a store he’s snubbed and gets the worst service. After a week of this he realizes that he’s got to let her deal with it for herself. That night she tells him how nice and polite everyone was to her.
The next day the husband goes to the grocer and thanks him for being polite to his wife.
‘Of course we’re nice to her, she married a local boy! She’s one of our’s now.’
‘But you were treating me like an outsider!’
‘Of course we don’t like you! You married a damn Yankee!’

1. I LOVE today’s coloring job.
2. I also love her thought balloon in the original. I’d add this to it: “Tom, Carl, and Pablo won’t be missing me, though.”
