Many years ago I asked my two daughters what they wanted to be when they grew up. The younger one wanted to be a nun – and have six children. (Episcopalians are a lively bunch!) The elder shrugged her shoulders. “Mama, I’m six. I don’t need to worry about that now.” She did allow as how she’d be an Office Lady, but she didn’t want any children.
