I am homesick for a good restaurant meal, Inside, not take out.

He will also homesick the screams his mom gave him.

Send him to bed without his supper.

I can never be that homesick. Mom was a terrible cook. Sorry mom.

If more restaurants would offer al fresco dining, I’d use their services. But, indoor dining. Naa.

If it’s real home cooking, she’ll sit across from him and nag, right???

We had to sneak out. Our oldest is staying with us (we are retired) and makes a fuss if we go into the backyard. So, we waited until he was working (from home and in his room). Threw caution to the wind and rode around for an hour. Then (oh, the horror) we got fast food. Took it home and had a picnic. What an adventure!!! It was worth him hearing him gripe.

He’s a lot taller, but he always reminded me of Mr. Spacely, from Spacely Sprockets.

Like Veeblefester, I am homesick for Mom’s cooking. Oftentimes, it was the best.

What, no one can cook? Most restaurant kitchens that I have seen thruout my life have been dirty. Kitchens in Japan, Korea and Thailand OTOH have been quite clean

Nothing makes you want to eat in a restaurant when you’re told you can’t.

Food like your Mom made isn’t much of an attraction if Mom was a lousy cook. And home style cooking, does that mean the mashed potatoes are lumpy and the gravy tastes like burnt grease.

Maybe his mother’s lousy cooking when he was a child is the reason for Thornapples’s miserable personality.
