My company invested in an online course put together through a formula from an ancient text by people with no understanding of the material. In the audio, a number of words were horribly mis-pronounced. The review questions occasionally had wrong answers.
This was material that I had studied decades before and used all through my career and I had trouble getting through any session, it was just so awful. But the company had decided that your pay scale was to be determined by which boxes were checked.
Tell me about it. The girls are home in the Comox Valley from university in England and they are keeping English/UTC hours, so they are 8 – 9 hours ahead in order to Skype with classmates and get their lectures in real time. Thank dog for blackout curtains, ear plugs, and a large house.
Sometimes online classes are more difficult as they require you to teach yourself. You may learn more, but you’ll certainly have to dig for it in most cases.

Teaching from home in my jammies most days is a perk, but it’s no picnic from your teachers’ side, either, Heart.

I’d have KILLED for online middle school. Imagine not having to get all those mental scars.
