There’s a poem by William Butler Yeats in which he speculates on, among other things, what Helen of Troy might do alone in her room when she thinks no one is looking…

She thinks, part woman, three parts a child,

That nobody looks; her feet

Like a long-legged fly upon the stream

Her mind moves upon silence.

It’s a mysterious and beautiful poem, worth checking on if you’ve never engaged with it before, worth thinking about. It’s called Long-Legged Fly .

You’ve got to be careful Petey. Parents are always lurking around trying to embarrass you.

He’s got a “Walk Like an Egyptian” ear worm.

In an unguarded moment

Alice seems to be expecting Peter to be that, “Nice, quiet guy who lives next door.”

I’m with Alice.

Good to see.

If he learns you did that, he’ll never have another unguarded moment, ever again.

It’s wonderful to have tunes play in your head rather than in your earbuds.

And when Petey sees it it will shut down any unguarded moments for fear he’ll be caught again.

I don’t know which is creepier, Petey’s solo or Mom’s stalking and stealth photo.

Betcha cell phones did not impress Madelane 1 iota until she found out they had cameras!

Does covid cause unusual behavior?

Just take those old records off the shelf…

That burst of activity from Petey is simply amazing, a very rare sighting indeed. Unfortunately, still photos won’t do it justice, Madeline; you should have had your video camera….
