I PRAY THAT THESE will be over soon. Or better, since you clearly enjoy doing them, that you’ll get a separate slot for them. So that we can get back to Poncho and friends — I’m beginning to really resent these lead-footed interruptions.

If he’s a southpaw, why is he batting right handed?

If Babe Ruff is a Southpaw, how come he’s batting right handed in today’s strip?

If he was a southpaw, shouldn’t the bat be on his left side?

Why can’t you people just enjoy this for what it is. It is very clever and interesting. You know Poncho will be back…..he needed a break from all of us.

    It’s like the ollllld joke.

Guy goes into a talent agent.

He says, “I have this amazing talking dog.”

The agent says, “Ok, let’s see what you got.”

The guy asks the dog, “How does sandpaper feel?”

    “Rough rough.”

“What’s on top of the house?”

    “Roof roof.”

“Who’s the greatest NY Yankee ever?”

    “Ruth Ruth.”

The agent says, “Get out of my office!”

Outside, the dog looks at the guy and says, “DiMaggio?”

All these comments and no one noticed that all the players parodied in today’s panel are Yankees? It’s offensive to Red Sox fans. :-)
