Mother’s day was the one day of the year we wore play clothes to church. After church and sunday school, we’d go out to eat, at McDonald’s usually, then to the greenhouse at the pink barn to pick out what kind of flowers Mom wanted in the flower garden. Then we’d go home and plant the flowers.
Or does she mean de-laid, In other words, stuff them back in the chicken until later. (Yes, I know this is a rotten egg of a pun but hey it popped right into my mind with the last panel and who am I fight inspiration).
