When I worked for the mortgage service company, I received a letter that I just couldnât understand. It started out about there property & went on with so many homonyms it was ridiculous. Finally someone came into my office & I asked them to listen while I read the letter to see if they could figure it out. When I read it out loud I finally realized what they were saying when I substituted the correct word. I donât think spell check would have helped as they were all proper words.
I found myself working fast food for a few years. We got a new manager who liked to post long âALL EMPLOYEEâ notices. Her grammar was atrocious! Within a day, her notice would be all marked up and corrected for her. She did not know who did it, but among her employees was an engineering type with an MS degree and two pre-med students. She knew it was one of us three.
