Shouldn’t you have a little more cover crop growing around it?

They are to low to attract the birds and the lack of protective cover won’t help. All that work for nothing.

Birds actually like a lot of open ground around feeders, because it’s harder for predators to hide nearby.

As first I was thinking catnip. But now I’m thinking bird seed?

Unless you’re hoping for a bountiful crop of squirrels, you’ll need to do better than that.

General Rocky T. Squirrel is amassing his bird feeder attack troops just over the hill, and they have doctorates of expertise in all ways of preventing their success.

I don’t know what the connection between earworms and this cartoons could possibly be. What I took this toon to be about was the cats planting bird feeders hoping to attract BIRDS for them to catch and eat!!!
