If she only knew the truth, being a cartoon character means she’ll never advance in school, nor graduate. So studying for exams is pointless.

I always took the practical approach to exams. If I didn’t know it the night before, I wasn’t going to learn it. The best thing I could do is get a good night’s sleep.

What she needs are some great female role models in math and science. There are many, but some were exceptional: Grace Hopper, Hedy Lamarr, and the three “Hidden Figures”.

It also depends on the teacher. I took geometry from a teacher, who basically taught it from the back of the room. I got a low C grade. I felt that I had not really learned it, so I opted to retake it. Had a good teacher, who actually taught in front of the class, ACED it.

This wouldn’t be a problem if the parent forced their kids to do their homework and checked it.
