One afternoon when I was outside in my yard, the crows alerted me to the presence of a hawk. The hawk actually flew to a tree closer to the birdfeeders. The hawk was in plain sight, but the birds at the feeders did not seem to notice!

Had a Bald Eagle alight on a tree limb overlooking the creek last year. In less than a minute the crows were mobbing it.

It must be embarrassing for the raptors, but it saves my (penned) chickens a great deal of stress.
