I believe the relevant term is “cuss like a sailor”… his brother only knows four-letter words.
Or it’s a shot at the level of education in the navy. Spook might have been army at one time.

I learned a lot of four letter words in the Navy. USN 65-95
So I guess he heard Navy men only know 4 letter words.
I used more four-letter words in college than I did in twenty-two years in the NAV.
