even I can’t stand seeing the news on the TV in the grocery store employees’ lounge mentioning Covid-19 this and Covid-19 that

Trump is a “no news” guy although he’s not into reading books.

Yeah, you gotta walk away once in a while.

If they’re gonna be around a while, make some good use of them.

About two weeks ago I flipped to the Coronavirus worldwide update (Can’t remember full/correct name, but it was one of only 3 on at the time), and I watched for over 30 minutes to get some news on COVID-19, but all they were talking about was politics, most of it not even related to the subject at hand. Meanwhile, the important news about COVID-10 was in a tiny crawl at the bottom of the TV. Ok, they’re not tiny, but my eyes are bad and it scrolls too fast for me to read.

If it infects then it injects is the new corporate media mantra!

I am on board with this strip. I have reached a saturation point with all the news outlets. Breitbart, CNN, MSNBC, Fox etc are all using the virus to try and get their publisher’s agendas furthered regardless of the damage they do to society. I’ve been hitting archive.org pretty hard and reading a lot of good novels since the local library has been shut down for almost 2 months and when it opens it will probably not be the same place to peruse books as it was in the past.

Nothing like a good book to escape all the crap that is going on!

COVID-19, COVID-20, COVID-21………..COVID-3000.I am afraid it is going to be come the wave of the future. Look for a new one every year from now on. Too many people like that power this has given them so no matter what the threat level is they are going to push the PANDEMIC button every year from now on.

Great News! No one is dying of natural causes!

Lio and I have the right idea. And the nasty political ads are a turn-off too….…

Lio has the right idea, I DVR the news than zip thru anything that is a rehash of old news. I get thru in about 10 minutes.

Sometimes enough IS enough. Especially when they’re playing the blame game.

Well, at least the pandemic (not that I’m for it) keeps the news from being completely political…

Since all the journalists are stuck at home, there’s no news except covid and what’s on TV and streaming online.

Just like “No testing is good for ratings”…

i just thought of something. there will probably be no “back to school” woes this fall….

It’s bizarre how 75% of the Planet’s activities have ceased, yet there is still as much New Coverage as ever. How are they filling the time? And were they filling it before?

Everytime somebody turns on the news, I go into another room to read a book.

I had not fully recognized the double meaning of “no news is good news.”

With all of the news we do get about Covid-19, we get very little scientific information, and a lot of the information we get seems questionable.

Finding that he can’t read wouldn’t surprise me…

Trump has washed his hands of the epidemic and is concentrating on creating a bogus narrative about former Pres. Obama to occupy his time and ours.

I take breaks from it.

Are we the only ones lucky enough to have a dedicated 24/7 Covid 19 Channel? (in addition to all the regular news channels that are reporting on it 24/7…)

Attaboy, Lio! Off the TV! Read a book, or two, or three. You’ll be ever so much happier a little boy for it….
