I remember when they first started talking about this “pay TV” idea. People laughed. I still have never paid for TV. The woman I live with does pay the government mandated per-household about $20 a month for public radio/TV but I see that as a public service like taxes to pay for the roads we all drive on.
I cut the cable years ago and never looked back. With all the apps and channels I can access with my Smart TV, I am able to view more of a variety of programming for more than half the price of cable.

Our cable company will “never tie you down to a contract”. I figured out real quick just who “wasn’t tied down”.
