Next week: Baby Fireball is actually an entity that came from the Ripverse before the Catpocalypse, and she was pretending to be Rip’s baby daugther so she could get access to the intelligence agency database. Also, Jenkins is Rip’s lost brother, Breezy is actually a being from outer space and Dutch is not Rip’s real father. Stay tuned for more nonstop nonsense in our series “I can’t believe this used to be a great comic strip.”
The only bad guys ones missing from this arc are the Highwayman and Dr Pain (she was mentioned but hasn’t shown up yet). Is this going to be one of those old Marvel routines where a bunch of bad guys get together to defeat the hero but, inevitably, fail?
I am only trying to clarify the canon of the strip here, but I seem to recall this Pancake house having prominent “going out of business” signs in the windows the last few times the strip used this place as a stage to let characters recap.
Are Rip and Dutch sitting in an identical Pancake house one town over from Starlight? Or did Breezy relent and allow the Starlight Pancake house to remain open? If Breezy did, is she still going to open a Waffle house? And if she does, will the new Waffle house attract a clientele of unsavory characters to further spice up Starlight and the comic strip?
I have to admit, I’d like to see Breezy, Baby Fireball, and Jenkins presiding over a feeding place patronized by biker gangs.

What a redundant criminal name. It has no flow, it just sits there like a lump.
