But they didn’t have their masks on in the first three panels. I’m not sure I get this one.

That’s the half mask from Webber’s ‘Phantom of the Opera”. Withing the constraints of Mr.Amend’s drawing style, they aren’t visible from their left profile, only from the right.

Notice that, like the flounder, both eyes appear on whichever side you are looking at, but the mask only appears on one side!! This violates several laws of physics!!!

I’m pretty sure the laws of physics, as well as reality, don’t apply in comics. I suppose I could be wrong…

I don’t get it. Why in the world do they want to go to the opera? And why is Andy so against it? (Granted, it’s a pretty strange request, but why ‘over her dead body’?)

@ Mytly - Yeah, I hope the “over my dead body” was in reference to the kids request to just be dropped off and picked up later.

PS: So is the ‘toon
