We used to call the Bean family and ask if Lima was there.

wow! They pay extra to get a non-black rotary phone. AT&T used to make a heap of money that way.

Is Red in a time warp? Rotary dial land line???

Use to sneak listening on the party line in Cowhampshire in the early 70’s. Got the fly swatter for that! Nasty

growing up in RI, that’s exactly what we did on bad weather days…i once arranged for someone to come out and install a pool in backyard of neighbor that was always calling police on us…good one because she was in a 3 story apartment with no backyard

I was too afraid of the telephone when I was that age, lol! I think my grandmother had me convinced that only bad or sad news came over one ;(

So the reply would’ve been: only the display models?

My friend and I used my dad’s office phone (at home) to make prank calls. A rotary phone, so no chance of getting caught, except by my dad if he returned home too soon!
