I had a golden retriever as a teen. I on my skateboard would take Rusty for a walk around the block, slight uphill to begin, (I helped a little of course) then a literal downhill run through a trailer park, complete with speed bumps. Speed bumps, for a teen on a skateboard, are a blast once you get used to them. Oh, and Rusty seemed to enjoy the walks as well.
Yep…..pried a board off a pallet, took apart one of an old pair of metal street skates and screwed them down to the board. Rode it until the bearings fell out and then made another one. Must have been in the early 60’s.

I used to play racquetball with some friends on the weekend. Afterwards, we’d hang out in the emergency room.

I made a skateboard using old metal roller skate wheels, pretty lame.

Me and my buddy Patrick had a skate board and used that sometimes. However our roller skates (metal with a key) were our favs.

Wonder how many people now a days would know what a skate key is for if you showed them one.
