I’m so with you, Andre!

Andre’s, um, a bit kinetic. Watching he and Petey interact is an education. I’ve got an Andre, so this relationship is helping me understand my own kid a little bit better. Thanks, Mr. Thompson.

That “new math” can make anyone crazy.

Andre’s conflict is easy to fathom. Numerators vs. Demonimators. Numerators always come out on top.

It’s a case of being fractured by franctions.

Petey didn’t budge an inch through the whole thing; he must be used to Andre’s melodrama by now!

Fractions and ratios were the only math things that ever came easily to, I had cooking and statistics to relate them to so it wasn’t abstract.

A little off-topic but when are newspapers going to stop running reruns of For Better For Worse & Peanuts and run Cul de Sac new strips? Just saying. :-/

I agree with you guys- always had trouble with math, but then I became a self taught engineer. Math is not as important as knowing the right formulas, and I learned the ones I needed, as well as learning to program “basic” back in the 70s so I could excell!

They say everything can be expressed with math and numbers….Alright. Go and write a novel..

That would be a reasonable reaction to fractions.
