On a good note. Amazon Prime finally got it together here and we got some things from Whole Foids we couldn’t get from Target delivered. Like Buttermilk and cucumbers. And gluten free frozen waffles!

Whole FOODS. That’s what I get for typing in the dark.

Chesney, you can take your bad attitude anyplace, but don’t dump it on our dear, sweet Annie!

Today is:

National Devil’s Food Cake Day

National May Ray Day. On May 19th, if your name is Ray (or Rae) give everyone permission to call you…well…Ray. It is National May Ray Day.

The idea is, everyone may call you Ray on this day instead of “Hey you!” Or maybe Rays sometimes get called “Sweetheart” or not so nice things. The holiday is all about getting out into the sunshine and saying, “You can call me Ray.”

I missed one yesterday – May 18 – it Was Victoria Day in Canada.

On another note, I’ve been posting the holidays for just over a year now (how time flies!). I started at first just with the ones posted in my “Every Day’s a Holiday” calendar. Then I started getting the emails on holidays and I wrote those down in a notebook. May 19 last year was the first day I started writing them down in that notebook. So now I have a year’s worth of holidays written down. Some change dates from year to year because they fall on a certain day of the week (like Mother’s Day & Father’s Day, etc). So I looked back and last year on this date, I was about to start my short vacation (only 4 days) and I was going to bake a devil’s food cake in honor of the holiday and in celebration of my vacation. Funny – it was wet and rainy then, just as it is here now. Too wet to start my garden today, but maybe it’ll dry out enough to plant stuff on Wednesday or Thursday. My vacation has begun and I don’t go back to work until Sunday. But I expect my 5 days off will pass so fast. it’ll feel more like 3 days.

Whooooo boy! To the loading dock right now!

Chesney, I think you should just build yourself a little shelter on the loading dock and move there permanently.

Actually, he just stated a fact we all know is true. Cats consider us the help.

Yes, Chesney, go away, and let Annie have some peace and quiet. Whatever put you in such a grumpy mood is NOT her fault. (Though, knowing Chesney, he probably thinks otherwise.) On another note, saw a towhee, a sparrow, a robin, and four rabbits while out walking today. I also saw an opossum on my porch last night.

The stress of the world situation we are now in is affecting our dear Annie and Chesney! Sigh! Of course, Chesney is Chesney regardless of what else is going on! :-D

Quarantine doesn’t mean Ten kitties can’t visit us!

Due to concerns of an infectious nature the cats have been held up at the border for virus scans. There is a fracas as two cats; one orange and one black, have decided to forgo testing while border agents scramble furiously to contain them, lifting any and all objects they manage to slip under, only to look on, frustrated, as the furries dart to another refuge. This could take awhile, folks !
