Pine cones are interesting… they come in all shapes. I found one that looked like a t**d, and put it on my fellow worker’s chair a while back. I know he doesn’t mind that kind of humor. He immediately realized what it was and took it home to his kids. I put one of those in my drawer, hoping to save it to use as a practical joke… when I came back for it, the joke was on me. It had opened up and seeds had come out in the drawer. It was a cool-looking cone and I kept it on a shelf for decoration.
Any gift that m’lady brings unto me, no matter how humble, is to be cherished and revered. I shall hold it in my heart, and should I fall, I shall remember her.
Speaking as one who has a mondo 12-inch pinecone at his office, and now keeps a lovely little 2-inch cone by his computer at home, I for one would accept a pinecone as a generous and thoughtful gift.
