I guess that Gertie is still wearing the wig. One would think that her own hair would have been styled that way by now. (And she wasn’t grey when she started wearing it.)
Others may have known, I did not know, Gertie wears a wig. Husband’s mom decided to buy a wig to cover her hair, as hard for her to then shampoo, and my dad always stated cannot speak anything nice stay quiet, I stayed quiet when asked about her wearing the wig.
